Earl Haig's Animation Club holds bi-weekly meetings to connect the animation-interested community of our school. We will teach and experiment with different forms of animation, from digital (such as 2D animation) to physical (such as flipbooks and claymation). Get to know your peers and enjoy creating individual and collaborative animations with the help of our skilled executives along the way. 

The Chinese Canadian Arts Society is dedicated to promoting Chinese traditional arts while fostering creativity by fusing Eastern and Western cultural elements. The purpose of uniting talented individuals across various artistic disciplines, such as music and dance, is to create innovative performances and events. Through rehearsals and assemblies, we provide a platform for artists to showcase their talents and deepen their understanding of tradition. 

Claude Watson Ambassadors is a student-led council that represents the Claude Watson Arts Program at Earl Haig. The Claude Watson Ambassadors primary goal is to promote and celebrate the diverse artistic areas offered within the program, including dance, drama, music, and visual arts. We support school events by organizing and tracking passport stamps, assisting with Open House, etc.

Dance Council is a passionate group of students dedicated to building a safe and inclusive environment within Earl Haig’s dance community. They work together to plan and run events and initiatives that strengthen connections, encourage creativity, and celebrate individuality. Dance Council provides many opportunities for students to express themselves and actively participate in the department.

Through performance, guidance, and community involvement, Dance Team is committed to promoting the art of dance. The group works to improve the abilities of its members while encouraging creativity and teamwork. The goal of Dance Team's various styles and routines is to motivate viewers and performers. Being a member of the team offers chances for individual development, teamwork, and the celebration of dance type. The Dance Team is proud to display its skill and love for the art form while maintaining a dedication to excellence.

The purpose of this dance to destress group is to provide Earl Haig students with a short break from their hard academic work by teaching them dance routines. Anyone who wishes to dance without performing in front of the gathering can do so in a safe environment. 

The Drama Council represents the CW Drama Major program. We aim to create a space for drama students to freely express their passion for the theatre and provide them with opportunities to further their theatre experience. The Council also serves as the organizational body for theatre performances throughout the school, including our School Show & other events. Drama Council forms bonds between older and younger grades of Drama Majors and helps keep our close-knit community alive.

Film Arts Council (FAC) aims to connect the film arts community through our subcommittees: Outreach, Actors Association, Festivals,  and Promotions. Each subcommittee runs a variety of different initiatives such as workshops, mixers, alumni panels, and film festivals. All film students are welcome to attend meetings and participate in all that FAC has to offer. 

Flute Choir is a student-run music ensemble, consisting mainly of flute players from all grades, that provides opportunities for flute players at Earl Haig to develop their chamber music skills, gain performance experience, and explore diverse flute choir repertoire. Flute Choir performs at various music events throughout the year, including Cafe Carpe, Music Showcase, and Music Gala.

The Music Council organizes major events like the annual Music Showcase, Music and Dance Revue, Music Gala, and Café Carpe. MC offers General Members volunteer opportunities for backstage/stagecrew duties, helping to coordinate and execute these concerts and fostering a dynamic, inclusive environment for musical expression and student involvement.

Music Sharing Club is a place to share original pieces of music with other students in a relaxed and informal setting over lunch. Get valuable feedback from other musicians, composers, and songwriters and make new friends along the way. Music Sharing Club welcomes those who do not songwrite/compose to listen and give feedback as well!

Visual Arts Council (VAC) is a collaborative team dedicated to promoting visual arts around Earl Haig. Our events, such as the annual Fashion Event, Holiday Sale, and End of the Year Gallery aim to spread the versatility of visual arts and create spaces where passionate individuals can channel their unique artistry. 

ZOOM ISFF is an international student film festival run out of Earl Haig since 1996, marking the 2026 festival its 30th year running. Run by students, for students, ZOOM commits itself to being an international connection between high school filmmakers across the globe.
