This will be a fundraising event to help raise money for the World Wildlife Fund and UNICEF. We will be selling doughnuts from Krispy Kreme in the main hall during lunch on Wednesday, April 17th, and we will set up a table in the hall to sell them from. We will be selling them for $2.00 for an original glaze, $3.00 for assorted, and $5.00 for any two. While selling, we will also be explaining that all proceeds will be going towards the WWF/UNICEF organization.

Description:
Based on the idea of cultural myths and storytelling, the council will put up QR codes in different areas of the school, where each of them is linked to a Google form. Other than getting a segment of the story, a fun fact about Earl Haig's multiculturalism will be included as well. At last, they will get a clue hinting at the next QR code’s location in the school. The student who gets all the QR codes and can recite the entire story is considered to be the winner and gets their prize.

Description:
An assembly for students to showcase their culture through performance.
The Recycling Initiative event will be held in the Cafeteria on Monday, March 18th at school. The purpose of this event is to give recycling a second life by allowing students to get creative and reuse recyclable material to design and create recycling creations before it goes to recycling facilities to be chopped up and used again. Anyone at Earl Haig is welcome to come and make crafts using recycled material to be judged at the end by Eco Council Executives. Students will be allowed to form teams or choose to work alone to achieve this. The recycling is going to be sourced from around the school and if there is none at haig, local businesses in the area. Scissors as well as a specific limited amount of tape and hot glue will be needed for the event and distributed among each team to use.

Our event will be held in the cafeteria on Wednesday, March 6th, after school. The event will be about making bird seed bells, which is a block of seeds hung outside for birds to feed on. To make it, you will need to dissolve gelatin into boiling water, to form a mixture with bird seeds. This mixture will be poured into a silicon mold and part of a paper straw will be placed in the middle for a piece of yarn to be strung through.

The Indian Culture Club has chosen to work together on an event. There will be a romantic movie event held after school in February since it's Valentine's Day. There will be a selection of Indian munchies as well as popcorn. We have snacks because the current goal or the Indian club is school celebrations and culture. We don't have another language film because we want everyone to enjoy romantic movies, since most people find that to be their favorite genre. Therefore, cultural treats are a means of expressing that and the film is in English. Every snack will cost two bucks.
